Amaryllis 'Carmen' reaches 18 to 24 inches tall, featuring 6 to 8 inch velvety red trumpet-shaped blooms with a deep, saturated hue.
Each jumbo-sized bulb (36/+) produces three to four thick stalks, with four to five blossoms per stem, blooming 8 to 12 weeks after planting.
Note: Unlike Southern Hemisphere-grown amaryllis, Dutch bulbs do not bloom in time for Christmas—flowering instead from January through March. I have already soaked and began their “growing conditions”.
